Single-storey, unpretentious burgher's house preserving the remains of a medieval Jewish worship hall within its walls. Tombstones from the medieval and Turkish occupation era can be found in the room located on the left hand side of the barrel-vaulted gateway, while turning right will lead to the worship hall, supported by pillars. The unique feature of the worship hall is the painting on the vaulting originating from the Turkish era. Lines from Hanna's prayer are inscribed between the barrels of a drawn bow: "The bows of warriors are shattered, but those who stumble find their strength reinforced." (1 Samuel 2,4) Next to it in the fields of the Star of David the following blessing can be read: "The Lord bless you and protect you; The Lord make his face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; The Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace" (4 Mozes 6, 24-26). The worship hall functions as the exhibition hall of the Historical Museum of Budapest (and can be visited from May until October).
